The main control mechanism for the
Wii. The Wiimote communicates with the Wii's sensor bar to provide for accurate pointer capabilities. Gyroscopes give the Wiimote the ability to determine when it is being turned and rotated, which allows for the ability to control games in new ways such as performing throwing motions, or swinging motions. A speaker and 4KB of memory are also contained in the Wiimote with the speaker emitting various game specific sounds, and the memory allowing each Wiimote to store one Mii profile and settings.
