The HP Wireless TV Connect is a small wireless streaming device that connects to your laptop or computer via HDMI and USB. Using the USB for power and the HDMI for streaming media such as Blu-Ray movies, videos and pictures, the unit will wirelessly transmit to a compatible TV in 1080p HD resolution with no time lag. Announced in September 2010 for release the following month, it comes with a receiving device that connects to your TV, which will allow streaming of 1080p at 60Hz with support for higher than 1600 X 1200 resolution, and, up to 8PCM audio channels including S/PDIF DTS, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, and AC-3 (5.1 channel), all of which are HDCP 1.0 compliant. Although the company is tight lipped at the moment about the insides of the Wireless TV Connect, the FCC database has updated their list showing this streamer and the receiver as two registered devices operating in the 4.9THz to 5.9GHz unlicensed band. Desktop stand and clips for attaching to the back of a laptop screen are included.

The Bicom playGO USB is a wireless transmitter and receiver designed to stream audio from your Mac or PC to your home stereo system. The BearExtender PC is a low-cost wireless accessory. This small device connects to your Microsoft Windows XP/Microsoft Windows Vista/Microsoft Windows 7 (either 32 or 64 bit) computer, as long as it has USB 2.0 or 1.1. The Asus WiCast EW2000 is a USB powered ultra compact streaming device that comes with it's own matching receiver that connects to an HDTV for wireless 1080p HD video streaming at 3Gbps. A two-in-one USB power cable is included(uses two USB ports for power), as well as HDMI cable and two AC adapters. Typically one would connect this to their HDMI equipped laptop for streaming video to an HDTV such as at a conference, at school or even for gaming and watching movies as there is less than 1ms latency. It can also be used with a compatible game console like an Xbox or PS3 to stream onto the big screen and comes with a maximum transmission distance of up to 33 feet. Up to 8 channels of audio are supported so using it with a multi-speaker home theater set up is possible, and with no wires.
