I played WoW for about a week during the beta many moons ago, and it being my first MMORPG, and my disdain for MMORPGs, I still hated it. It just all seems so pointless and a huge time-sink. I'm not a big RPG gamer though, so building up your character, getting the phat loot doesn't really appeal to me.
All that being said, SecondLife really intrigues me. I haven't tried it out yet, but I've been reading a lot about it recently and it does look really cool. The whole user-generated content angle is awesome, and what made me very interested in the SL was when someone told me just how big it was. I initially thought that it'd be pretty easy to saturate the world, but they said it'd take a VERY long time to see everything in the game, especially since more is continually being added.
Lahhrs, if you have experience with SL I'd love to hear your thoughts on it and your experience with the game.
