For those PC gamers out there who love their keyboard and mouse combo and can't seem to get used to the Xbox 360 controller, the Xfps adapter might be your answer. The adapter allows you to connect any PS/2 input device as well as USB keyboards and mice. The Playstion 2 peripherals are also compatible such as the PS2 guitar, PS2 light gun and PS2 dancing pads.

More information

The main motivation behind the XFPS 360 adapter is to enhance the First Person Shooter experience. The company who manufactures the XFPS, XCM Technologies, feels strongly that the Xbox 360 controller is completely unsuited to playing FPS games and therefore allowing your fingers to use a keyboard and mouse (as PC gamers are undoubtedly used to using) you will be more accurate.

The adapter is relatively unassuming with a plastic shell that can sits on any surface, although the black color choice is a bit suspect given the cream exterior of the standard 360. There have been some complaints about compatibility issues, namely the lack of detection for some mice and keyboards. However, the PS2 controllers work well and are plug-and-play detected.

PS2 compatibility is pretty sweet. If this means I can use my modded Street Fighter Anniversary arcade stick on my 360 to play my backwards compatible Street Fighter 3 then.. well... yes, I would be a happy man.

I bought this last week so I could use my SF Anniversary arcade stick or my PS2 controller. The Arcade stick doesn't work with it at all :( but the PS2 controller works fine.

I ordered the XCM XFPS from Total Console about 3 weeks ago. It arrived after about a week and failed to work out of the box. After trying to contact them over 3 business days, their autoresponse says they will contact you within 1 business day, I finally got an email saying they were having email trouble and to send it back for an exchange. A week after sending it in I got the following:

"Message From Seller:
exchange not possible since the product is discontinued. Issuing partial refund. Minus shipping & $10 restocking charge."

So the product was discontinued and yet I get stuck with a restocking fee. It was faulty and I still get stuck with the shipping? Word of advice.......don't buy it.

Wow, that's just ridiculously bad. Was it really worth it to them for 10 bucks to lose a customer?
