The XFX MB-N790-IUL9 is a high-end Ultra SLI motherboard, designed to deliver a "premium" gaming experience. It utilizes the 790i Ultra SLI chipset and socket LGA 775 support for Intel CPUs including Intel Quad-core, Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Duo and Pentium processors. The board also supports FSB (Front Side Bus) speeds up to 1600MHz through overclocking. The XFX 790i Ultra motherboard features 3-way SLI delivered through the 3 PCI-e x16 slots (2 Gen 2.0, and one standard x16) and the included tri-SLI bridge. The MB-N790-IUL9 also includes 4 240 pin DIMM slots with support for DDR3 up to 2000 MHz with EPP 2.0 Memory up to a maximum of 8GB total. Extra features include 8 channel analog and digital HD audio, a dual gigabit LAN for double the network speed. Extra ports for added peripherals include 1 external eSATA port, 6 SATA connectors with RAID 0/1/0+1/5/JBOD support, 6 USB 2.0 ports with 4 onboard headers for up to 10 ports total, 1394a, 2 PCI-e x1, and 2 standard PCI slots. One major downside should be noted when comparing this board to similiar boards, it does not include an onboard GPU or stock graphics support.
