The Yamaha HTR-6150 is a 7.1 channel receiver with 2 x HDMI 1.2a, 1080p-capable inputs capable of video up-conversion of analog sources to HDMI released in January 2008 and retailing for $450. It is also sold as the Yamaha RX-V563, a receiver the same specifications, features, and price; they are almost indistinguishable from each other. The HTR-6150 features 90 Watts of power per channel, and bi-ampable front speakers, and a second zone of stereo front speaker outputs for multi-zone functionality. The HTR-6150 will decode Dolby Pro Logic II and dts digital surround audio, but will not decode high definition audio such as Dolby TrueHD and dts HD-MA. The step-up HTR-6160 ($550) adds high definition audio decoding, and the step-down model HTR-6140 ($350) drops video up-conversion capabilities and supports only 5.1 channels of audio.
