It features 140 Watts / channel of power and is based on the Anchor Bay Technologies ABT 2010 video chip that can upscale analog video sources to 1080p. It features high-definition audio decoding of Dolby TrueHD and dts HD-MA. This receiver is the step-up model to the Yamaha RX-V1900 retailing for $1399.95 and is the 2008 successor to the Yamaha RX-V3800 released in 2007. The top-of-the-line model for 2008 is the Yamaha RX-Z7 (MSRP $2699.95). This receiver is network compatible and can stream audio over your network, listen to Internet Radio, or via a USB-connected audio player. It features an improved GUI OSD over the RX-V1900 and has the ability to display album art. Other notable features include SRS Circle Surround II decoder and Progressive ReProcessing (PReP) technology via Anchor Bay VRS using the ABT 2010 chipset.
