The Yamaha YHT-791 is a 7.1 channel home theater system and is at the top of Yamaha's HTiB (Home Theater in a Box) lineup. The system comprises 7 90-watt bass reflex satellite speakers: four rear/surround speakers, one centre channel speaker, and two front channel speakers. The front channel speakers each have a 6.5" woofer and 3/4" tweeter, while the centre channel speaker has dual 3.5" woofers and a 3/4" tweeter, and the surround speakers each have a 3" woofer and 1/2" tweeter. The system also includes the same 10" 100W subwoofer as the 5.1 channel YHT-591 system which, along with the satellite speakers, provides a 730W surround sound experience.

Details
The YHT-791 is controlled by a 7-channel A/V receiver which features numerous DTS and Dolby HD digital surround technologies for accurate decoding of surround sound sources. It includes four SCENE buttons making it easier to operate the receiver and utilizes Yamaha's YPAO automatic system calibration to optimize the system based on the room acoustics. The receiver also has Bluetooth compatibility, four 1080p-compatible HDMI ports with HDMI switching, and includes an iPod docking station. The YHT-791 comes with removable cloth grilles for the front and centre channel speakers and has an MSRP of $849.95.
