Yamaha YHT-S400

$600.00 Released December, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Simple setup, manuals are helpful. Decent value: functions as a whole home theatre for under $500. Good quality subwoofer sound for the price.

The Cons:The surround sound does not achieve the same effect as a comparable multi-speaker setup. Will override and switch video output when used with TiVo. Rear channel speakers cannot be added.

The Yamaha YHT-S400 is an inline surround sound system consisting of a central-receiver with an integrated 100W subwoofer and a 3-channel Air Surround Xtreme soundbar. Air Surround technology delivers a surround-sound experience with the use of Digital Sound field Processing (DSP) and sound reflections—all without the need for multiple speakers and pesky wires.
