The YikeBike is a super light and compact folding electric bike designed for city use. It weighs only 9.8 kg and can fold to 67×56×12 cm to be easily stored or carried in the included backpack. It is powered by a 1.2 kW motor which replaces a typical complex chain/gear/pedal system and is capable of reaching speeds up to 20 km/h. The LiFePO4 battery has a 10km range and can be charged in 30 minutes. Along with being the first foldable electric bike, it is also the first bicycle on the market to use electronic anti-skid brakes. The frame is made from a carbon composite which integrates lights, indicators and brake lights for safety when driving in the city. Unlike conventional bikes, the handle bars come from behind the rider and sit on the side rather than in front. It is drive by the 20" hubless front wheel and has a smaller rear wheel for stabilization and it has a leather seat for comfort.

Pros
- 10km range with speeds up to 20km/h
- highly compact and lightweight
- quick 30 minute recharge time
- does not use fossil fuels - relies on comparably inexpensive and environmentally friendly electricity
Cons
- makes you look like a tool - the next segway?
- expensive
- speed is limited for safety
- cannot be used as a typical bicycle for exercise / when battery dies
