"Hi, We want to buy this LCD tv but are wondering whether we should buy with a company that provides a pixel guarantee. Did you have any dead pixels in your screen? Thanks in advance for your answer, Yogi45"

Thanks Ready2Mosh,

That makes me feel a whole lot better already. I know production methods are getting so much better these days, but there's always a chance of dead or stuck pixels. Unfortunately the 750 models are not on sale (yet?) in Europe, wouldn't have minded paying extra for an Ethernet port plus some storage within the set (even if it's only 1 GB), but nobody seems to know if and when they will be on the market here. Wonder when those LED LCDs will be released here. In any case it's great to be able to update the firmware on the 650 series. That will only enhance the performance of these already impressive sets.

We're definitely going shopping tomorrow. :-) Love www.avsforum.com, by the way, I've visited it several times.

I have left comments on a few different manufacturers TVs, which one are you looking at?

My personal preference is the Samsung 650/750 models, best lcd out right now, if you can wait samsung is releasing led lcds in the next month and a half.

Stay away from vizio or other off brands, you get what you pay for, also buy off of amazon, best price and service, period.

For other peoples opinions visit www.avsforum.com and you'll become very knowledgable. Just browse forums lcd flat planels.

good luck
