It's pretty crazy how this has been getting circulated around the internet. I really think Viacom is taking this to an extreme level. Do they really want to be suing YouTube? Or are they stirring up some publicity for their own video site? I wonder what they think the people who watch their stuff on YouTube will think. I'm curious to see the response from their viewership, mainly the MTV crowd.
To me this just looks like greed. YouTube had a great idea, executed well and now reap those rewards with a huge following. Viacom can argue copyright infringement, they have a point there, but if it's getting people interested in their product, how is that bad, again? Oh right, they just want some of the cash.
