ziggy719 added Overheating

October 27, 2008 at 5:50 pm

I'v had my Big Ruckus for about a year and a half now. Have about 1800 miles on it. I have a steer head complete with horns as my hood orniment, a RR train horn that does get attention and a good sized plastic box on the rear in which I carry my groceries with a case of soda and a case of beer on top. If I can figure out how to do it I will attach a photo.

My problem is when I take er out on the open road at a sustained 60-70 for 20 miles she loses power, overheats and belches out coolant. The fan comes on properly and I have no problem on the short in town trips. Does any other owner have or had a similar problem?

Oh well, I can't find the photo now but will post in later.
